Most people, who don't think that Nutritional Therapy is for them, think so, because their belief is that a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner will only help you lose weight. Of course, weight loss is a great side effect for many, many people. After years of yo-yo dieting, dropping the pounds and keeping them off, is rewarding and makes you feel great about yourself! But Nutritional Therapy is not just about weight loss. It is about helping you feel better all around, inside and out.
Yo-you dieting for most of us means something like this. In your late teens you may have simply stopped eating candy and the weight you gained came right off. At some point, simply not eating candy didn't do the job anymore. You may have dabbled into low-fat, low-carb, low-calorie diets. You may have counted points, done a juice cleanse, a cabbage cleanse, or whatever cleanses are out there.
Over the years, you've likely experienced headaches, fatigue, weight gain, weight loss, weight gain, heartburn, bloating, acne, cramps, and more unpleasant symptoms. And for many of you (and me) the answer might have been, that with age, you should expect these symptoms. Or you were put on medication, hormones, anti acid drugs, and such.
In the meantime, you're still struggling to lose weight and keep it off.
Most people, who start to eat an ancestral diet (may it be paleo, primal, or a variation of these), will feel better within weeks, sometimes even days. Of course! You've just taken out a ton of processed foods, filled with corn, soy, and wheat. You've removed sugars like corn syrup and other sweeteners.
But, you may actually still have some struggles. Years of "abuse" cannot simply be undone. Most of us need to work a little harder at getting better.

-help you clean out your pantry, if you're local.
-recommend local and sustainable sources for your food.
-evaluate an in depth nutritional assessment questionnaire.
-perform Functional Evaluations, a hands on approach to find out what is really happening inside.
-recommend appropriate supplementation.
-create a meal plan for you with your individualized preferences in mind.
-follow up with you weekly, then monthly, until you feel your best.
-counsel you as you're going through the initial detox of your body.
-support you with all my knowledge and do the research FOR you so you don't have to!
